Reiki Classes – Become a Practitioner<\/h1>\n

\nLevel I<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reiki level I classes are offered on the first Saturday of every month. They are presented in partnership with The White Flame Company of Hamilton and instructed by Reiki Master Andrew Bray.\u00a0 Class is taught in an informal manner that encourages questions, discussion ans sharing.<\/p>\n

Reiki level I is primarily about healing of the self; physical, emotional and spiritual. \u00a0Healing and learning to connect with your own unique healing abilities are the focus. Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing by having the Practitioner direct Reiki energy into the client. The method of receiving a Reiki treatment from a practitioner is very simple. The recipient remains clothed and lies on a massage table and relaxes. The practitioner gently places their hands non-intrusively, on or near the body in learned hand positions. There is no massage or manipulation and the whole person is treated as well as specific symptoms if requested.<\/p>\n

Reiki is an unseen “life force energy” that flows through everyone. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to become ill or be stressed, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.<\/p>\n

The practice of Usui Reiki is a method of healing, re-discovered by Dr. Mikao Usui in Japan early in the 20th century. Reiki is a natural healing energy that works on every level, not just the physical, and is understood to promote the body\u2019s regenerative self- healing ability. Reiki is a healing process that anyone can benefit from in the normal course of their life. It should not be regarded as a cure for conditions. As a natural form of healing Reiki can support and enhance other forms of treatment.<\/p>\n
